Here is another favorite of mine, FirstGov.
FirstGov is the official US gateway to all government information. It contains a rich treasure of online information, services and resources. www.FirstGov.com

Grants to States for Incarcerated Youth Offenders is a pet project of mine. You must be incarcerated in a correctional facility, under the age of 25 years, and have completed high school education. This program assists incarcerated youth offenders in obtaining postsecondary education and postsecondary vocational training. Details at: http://www.ed.gov/offices/OVAE Or write to: US Department of Education, 400 Maryland Ave SW, Washington, DC 20202. You may also call US Department of Education at (202) 205-5621. All the best.

Here is a great link to HUD: http://www.hud.gov/buying/ They have many first time programs for homeowners and folks who want to own a home. The homebuying process can seem complicated, but if you take things step-by-step, you will soon be holding the keys to your own home! All the best.
