The Best Tasting Pound Cake

My grandfather came over from Europe and started a bakery.  Need I say more:)

· Preheat oven to 325 degrees

· What you will need:
1 pound of butter
1 pound of confectioners’ sugar
6 eggs
2 tablespoons of vanilla
3 cups of sifted cake flour
2 loaf pans

· Cream butter and slowly add confectioners’ sugar. Add in eggs, one at a time until fluffy. Add sifted cake flour and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended. Divide batter into 2 loaf pans. Be sure to spray pans with non stick baking spray.

· Bake in a preheated oven for at least 1 hour and 20 minutes. The batter is heavy so it takes awhile for the middle of the cake to bake. If the middle is still raw, decrease the heat and slow bake until the middle is baked.

· Remove from oven and let stand for 15 minutes.

· To make the pound cake even better, add a cup of small baking chocolate chips to the batter.

· Serve with fresh strawberries and whipcream for a complete dessert treat.

· You may freeze this recipe.
